Your doctor will ask questions regarding your sex life and conduct a general examination to determine your overall health status. Your doctor will ask you to get blood tests or urine test done if you have a problem of burning sensation during urination or other sexual dysfunctions along with Dhat syndrome. Your doctor may also advise you to consult an urologist if necessary.
Dhat syndrome is essentially related to ignorance or misconceptions about sex and sexual organs of the body. Most often, Counselling/ therapy suffices as treatment. In case it is associated with other forms of sexual issues like erectile dysfunction or premature ejaculation, it will have to be treated accordingly.
